Craft Fair and Auction

The past two weekends have been very busy and exciting. I participated in the Craft Council's Christmas Fair last weekend. For two days, I had a table with several dozen of my pieces for sale. All three levels of the Arts and Culture Center were jam packed with creative people. Painters, printmakers, sculptors, textile artists and jewelers all gathered together to offer the community an opportunity to own some of their beautiful pieces. I felt honored to be counted among such talent. I was able to see people's reaction to my work and get great feedback. I sold a number of pieces.
This weekend I worked on the Fall Gala Auction at our children's school. I donated a fine silver and copper necklace. The highest bidder was delighted with her piece. Several other parents also commented on the piece. Both events were a hit. Now back to my bench!

Thumbs Up

Just heard from the Craft Council of Newfoundland and Labrador that my work has been accepted and I am now an official member. I'm thrilled!

Every link

The minute I wrapped silver wire tightly onto a mandrel to form a perfect coil then proceeded to cut the coil into 180 shiny silver rings, I felt my pulse quicken. These links magically became a beautiful chain maille bracelet. My very first experience with silver. That was three years ago. Here I am now beggining to share with you my creations. I hope you enjoy them. The ideas come faster than I can write them down.
